Business link with TESCO

As part of their GCE qualification in Applied Business over 20 Year 12 students have been provided with an opportunity to visit Tesco, New Square, West Bromwich to use the business as a basis of investigation for their coursework.

Students have visited the business on two separate occasions during the months of February and March and have been able to carry out an investigation into recruitment and human resource considerations connected to the company by listening to a presentation delivered by Sid – Community Link Manager at the store. Students were provided with an excellent standard of hospitality during each visit. Thank you to Sid for providing this very valuable experience to our students.

“Once again the students were impeccably behaved, their interaction really helped the presentation and the manner in which they were taking notes and some running out of paper showed they were eager to learn and gain the extra information to bolster their coursework marks. I look forward to you making contact and I would like to come around the college to have a grand tour especially the Business Department, maybe you could arrange this? I would also like to keep this partnership going and maybe do these every year when you have any new intake onto the course. Take care of yourself and thank you for giving me this opportunity, one which I have thoroughly enjoyed and pass on my thanks to all of your Business Class.”

Kind regards - Sid
